Our West African base, Aluroll Nigeria, has manufactured shutters for the region’s most prestigious projects. Local access control experts Base Concepts & Designs recently completed work on two major developments in capital city Lagos; warehouses on a port complex and a new 80,000m2 leisure development called FairAcres. They chose Aluroll Nigeria’s shutters for both.
The port project required high security on warehouses used for storage, and four i100 shutters were installed. FairAcres required three S76 shutters for the entrance to the complex. They included an 8m wide design; Aluroll Nigeria’s largest shutter to date.
After years of exporting products to the country by air and sea on a job by job basis, Aluroll established a base in Lagos in 2011. Last year saw the completion of a purpose-built factory to meet rising demand from installers working across West Africa. Aluminium shutters are becoming an increasingly popular alternative to the traditional iron bars which are widely used on commercial premises in the area.
Ademola Okulaja was a customer in the country before being made Managing Director of Aluroll Nigeria. He said: “Last year’s expansion was driven by client demand and it’s proving a success, having manufactured products for a number of important projects already. We’re receiving more enquiries than ever before and look forward to the future”.
