Last year we won a contract for the manufacture of security shutters for a multinational technology company. Following discussions with the architects handling the project, Aluroll was chosen to design, manufacture and manage the installation of four large bespoke roller shutters.
The brief was to install four 9m by 7m shutters in a flagship retail outlet within a shopping centre in Asia. A grille-like design was required for maximum vision and airflow, and the prestigious client was exacting in terms of finish and control details. The design of the premises meant that the shutters would be installed side by side on two floors, with limited headroom available. Removable guides were developed to keep the entranceway completely free of obstructions while the shutter was open.
Aluroll’s technical team worked closely with architects to adapt the Tube and Link grille to satisfy these unique requirements. Following the testing of a prototype in the UK, the four shutters were manufactured, exported to China and successfully installed.
