| General Description The roller shutter comprises of a curtain, made up of individual interlocking laths, which runs vertically between guides fitted to the sides of the opening. The curtain retracts into a full enclosure mounted above the guides. The unit is self-locking with a choice of manual or electric operation. When fully lowered, shutters are locked within their guides. Vision profile and vented light slots may be incorporated. Aluroll’s product portfolio includes alternative shutter fixing options. • Built-in shutters offer security with the added benefit of being unobtrusive; installed during construction, the shutter box and guides can be built-in to the window frame or lintel. • Built-on shutters are installed on the exterior or interior of buildings running within guides. |

| Composition, manufacture The box and guide channels are manufactured from extruded aluminium. The traditional square box shape (with 45° bevel) has been complimented by the introduction of circular housing and guides to ensure quality aesthetics. The curtains are of insulated foam-filled or extruded aluminium, dependent on span and application. |

| Appearance Standard colours are complimented by the facility to powder coat materials to specific RAL colours to ensure quality aesthetics. |

| Operation Electric or Manual. All electric shutters are supplied with the Somfy Inis Uno single pole switch as standard. Key switch and remote control operation is available as an optional extra, as is a manual override facility. Manual shutters can be cord, spring and lock or rod crank operation. |
