Things We've Been Talking About In August

It’s been a busy month for roller garage doors and security shutters. August kicked off with the results for our poll. It revealed that security is most important for customers buying a garage door - particularly for women aged 25 to 34.  We found that the Office of National Statistics’ burglary rates had dropped 26% in a decade - and that they thought this was because of an increase of better home security.

Locally to us, rural crime cost Shropshire 620,000 last year, with tools, bikes and quad bikes a main target for thieves. Elsewhere, it was announced that a Leicestershire police force ‘ignored’ burglaries at odd numbered houses in an attempt to cut costs. And finally, a 91-year-old great, great grandfather fulfilled his bucket list of smashing his car through his garage door.
